CJB 14 "To the angel of the Messianic Community in Laodicea, write: 'Here is the message from the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the Ruler of God's creation: NIV 14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. CJB 15 "I know what you are doing: you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! NIV 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! CJB 16 So, because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth! NIV 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. CJB 17 For you keep saying, 'I am rich, I have gotten rich, I don't need a thing!' You don't know that you are the one who is wretched, pitiable, poor, blind and naked! NIV 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. CJB 18 My advice to you is to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be dressed and not have to be ashamed of your nakedness; and eyesalve to rub on your eyes, so that you may see. NIV 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. CJB 19 As for me, I rebuke and discipline everyone I love; so exert yourselves, and turn from your sins! NIV 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. CJB 20 Here, I'm standing at the door, knocking. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me. NIV 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. CJB 21 I will let him who wins the victory sit with me on my throne, just as I myself also won the victory and sat down with my Father on his throne. NIV 21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. CJB 22 Those who have ears, let them hear what the Spirit is saying to the Messianic communities."'" NIV 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
