10 Toen zond de vergadering daarheen twaalf duizend mannen, van de strijdbaarste; en zij geboden hun, zeggende: Trekt heen, en slaat met de scherpte des zwaards de inwoners van Jabes in Gilead, met de vrouwen en de kinderkens.
10 So the assembly sent twelve thousand fighting men with instructions to go to Jabesh Gilead and put to the sword those living there, including the women and children.
