Romans 14:12-22

KJV 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. NIV 12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God. KJV 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. NIV 13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. KJV 14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean. NIV 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. KJV 15 But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died. NIV 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. KJV 16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of: NIV 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. KJV 17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. NIV 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, KJV 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. NIV 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. KJV 19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. NIV 19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. KJV 20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. NIV 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. KJV 21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. NIV 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall. KJV 22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. NIV 22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
