1 Zhèyàng , zĕnme shuō ne . wǒmen kĕyǐ réng zaì zuì zhòng , jiào ēndiǎn xiǎn duō má.
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?
2 Duànhūbùkĕ . wǒmen zaì zuì shàng sǐ le de rén , qǐ kè réng zaì zuì zhòng huó zhe ne .
2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
3 Qǐbù zhī wǒmen zhè shòuxǐ guī rù Jīdū Yēsū de rén , shì shòuxǐ guī rù tāde sǐ má .
3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 Suǒ yǐ , wǒmen jiè zhe xǐlǐ guī rù sǐ , hé tā yītóng máizàng , yuán shì jiào wǒmen yī jǔ yī dòng yǒu xīn shēng de yàngshì , xiàng Jīdū jiè zhe fù de róngyào cóng sǐ lǐ fùhuó yíyàng .
4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 Wǒmen ruò zaì tā sǐ de xíngzhuàng shàng yǔ tā liánhé , yĕ yào zaì tā fùhuó de xíngzhuàng shàng yǔ tā liánhé .
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
6 Yīnwei zhīdào wǒmen de jiù rén hé tā tóng dìng shízìjià , shǐ zuì shēn mièjué , jiào wǒmen bú zaì zuò zuì de núpú .
6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—
7 Yīnwei yǐ sǐ de rén , shì tuōlí le zuì .
7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Wǒmen ruò shì yǔ Jīdū tóng sǐ , jiù xìn bì yǔ tā tóng huó .
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
9 Yīnwei zhīdào Jīdū jì cóng sǐ lǐ fùhuó , jiù bú zaì sǐ , sǐ yĕ bú zaì zuò tāde zhǔ le .
9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.
10 Tā sǐ shì xiàng zuì sǐ le , zhǐyǒu yī cì . tā huó shì xiàng shén huó zhe .
10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 Zhèyàng , nǐmen xiàng zuì yĕ dàng kàn zìjǐ shì sǐ de . xiàng shén zaì Jīdū Yēsū lǐ què dàng kàn zìjǐ shì huó de .
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Suǒyǐ búyào róng zuì zaì nǐmen bì sǐ de shēnshang zuò wáng , shǐ nǐmen shùncóng shēnzi de sīyù .
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.
13 Yĕ búyào jiāng nǐmen de zhī tǐ xiàn gĕi zuì zuò bú yì de qìjù . dǎo yào xiàng cóng sǐ lǐ fùhuó de rén , jiāng zìjǐ xiàn gĕi shén . bìng jiāng zhī tǐ zuò yì de qìjù xiàn gĕi shén .
13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.
14 Zuì bì bùnéng zuò nǐmen de zhǔ . yīnwei nǐmen bú zaì lǜfǎ zhī xià , nǎi zaì ēndiǎn zhī xià .
14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
15 Zhè què zĕnmeyàng ne . wǒmen zaì ēndiǎn zhī xià , bú zaì lǜfǎ zhī xià , jiù kĕyǐ fàn zuì má . duànhūbùkĕ .
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
16 Qǐbù xiǎodé nǐmen xiànshang zìjǐ zuò núpú , shùncóng shuí , jiù zuò shuí de núpú má . huò zuò zuì de núpú , yǐ zhìyú sǐ . huò zuò shùn méng de núpú , yǐ zhì chéng yì .
16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
17 Gǎnxiè shén , yīnwei nǐmen cóng qián suīrán zuò zuì de núpú , xiànjīn què cóng xīnli shùnfú le suǒ chuán gĕi nǐmen dàolǐ de mó fàn .
17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance.
18 Nǐmen jì cóng zuì lǐ dé le shìfàng , jiù zuò le yì de núpú .
18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 Wǒ yīn nǐmen ròutǐ de ruǎnfuò , jiù zhào rén de cháng huà duì nǐmen shuō , nǐmen cóng qián zĕnyàng jiāng zhī tǐ xiàn gĕi bú jié bùfǎ zuò núpú , yǐ zhìyú bùfǎ . xiànjīn yĕ yào zhàoyàng jiāng zhī tǐ xiàn gĕi yì zuò núpú , yǐ zhìyú chéng shèng .
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness.
20 Yīnwei nǐmen zuò zuì de núpú de shíhou , jiù bú beì yì yuē shù le .
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness.
21 Nǐmen xiànjīn suǒ kàn wéi xiūchǐ de shì , dàng rì yǒu shénme guǒzi ne . nàxiē shì de jiéjú jiù shì sǐ .
21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death!
22 Dàn xiànjīn nǐmen jì cóng zuì lǐ dé le shìfàng , zuò le shén de núpú , jiù yǒu chéng shèng de guǒzi , nà jiéjú jiù shì yǒngshēng .
22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
23 Yīnwei zuì de gōngjià nǎi shì sǐ . wéiyǒu shén de ēncì , zaì wǒmen de zhǔ Jīdū Yēsū lǐ nǎi shì yǒngshēng .
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
