1 Dàn nǐ suǒ jiǎng de , zǒng yào héhū nà chún zhèng de dàolǐ .

You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine.
2 Quàn lǎo nián rén , yào yǒu jié zhì , duān zhuāng , zì shǒu , zaì xìnxīn aì xīn rĕnnaì shang , dōu yào chún quán wú cī .

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
3 Yòu quàn lǎo nián fùrén , jǔ zhǐ xíngdòng yào gōng jìng , bù shuō chán yán , bù gĕi jiǔ zuò núpú , yòng shàn dào jiàoxun rén .

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
4 Hǎo zhǐjiào shàonián fùrén , aì zhàngfu , aì érnǚ ,

Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children,
5 Jǐn shǒu zhēn jié , liào lǐ jiā wù , daì rén yǒu ēn , shùnfú zìjǐ de zhàngfu , miǎndé shén de dàolǐ beì huǐbàng .

to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
6 Yòu quàn shàonián rén yào jǐn shǒu .

Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.
7 Nǐ zìjǐ fán shì yào xiǎn chū shàn xíng de bǎngyàng , zaì jiàoxun shang yào zhèngzhí , duān zhuāng ,

In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness
8 Yányǔ chún quán , wú kĕ zhǐzé , jiào nà fǎnduì de rén , jì wú chù kĕ shuō wǒmen de bù shì , biàn zì jué xiūkuì .

and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
9 Quàn púrén yào shùnfú zìjǐ de zhǔrén , fán shì tǎo tāde xǐhuan . bùkĕ dǐngzhuàng tā .

Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,
10 Bùkĕ sī ná dōngxi . yào xiǎn wéi zhōng chéng , yǐzhì fán shì zūnróng wǒmen jiù zhǔ shén de dào .

and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.
11 Yīnwei shén jiù zhòngrén de ēndiǎn , yǐjing xiǎnmíng chūlai ,

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
12 Jiàoxun wǒmen chú qù bú jìng qián de xīn , hé shìsú de qíngyù , zaì jīnshì zì shǒu , gōngyì , jìng qián dù rì .

It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,
13 Dĕnghòu suǒ pànwàng de fú , bìng dĕnghòu zhì dà de shén , hé ( huò zuò wú hé zì ) wǒmen jiù zhǔ Yēsū Jīdū de róngyào xiǎnxiàn .

while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
14 Tā wèi wǒmen shĕ le zìjǐ , yào shú wǒmen tuōlí yīqiè zuìè , yòu jiéjìng wǒmen , tè zuò zìjǐ de zǐmín , rèxīn wèi shàn .

who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
15 Zhèxie shì nǐ yào jiǎng míng , quànjiè rén , yòng gè dĕng quánbǐng zébeì rén . bùkĕ jiào rén qīng kàn nǐ .

These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
