So*they, being sent forthby the HolyGhost,departeduntoSeleucia; and fromthence they sailedtoCyprus.

And when they wereatSalamis, they preached the word of Godin the synagogues of the Jews:and they hadalsoJohn to their minister.

And when they had gone through the isleuntoPaphos, they found a certainsorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew,whosename was Barjesus:

Whichwaswith the deputy of the country,SergiusPaulus, a prudentman;whocalled for BarnabasandSaul, and desired to hear the word of God.

ButElymas the sorcerer* (for so is hisname by interpretation ) withstoodthem,seeking to turn away the deputyfrom the faith.

ThenSaul,* (who also is called Paul,) filled with the HolyGhost*, set his eyesonhim,

And said , Ofull of allsubtiltyandallmischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of allrighteousness, wilt thounotcease to pervert the rightways of the Lord?

Andnow,behold , the hand of the Lord is uponthee,and thou shalt beblind,notseeing the sunfor a season.Andimmediately there fellonhim a mistand a darkness;and he went aboutseeking some to lead him by the hand.

Then the deputy, when he saw what was done , believed , being astonishedat the doctrine of the Lord.

Now when Paul and his companyloosedfromPaphos, they cametoPerga in Pamphylia:andJohndepartingfromthemreturnedtoJerusalem.
