Ezra 2:53-63

53 the children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Temach,
54 the children of Netzi'ach, the children of Hatifa.
55 The children of Shlomo's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Soferet, the children of Peruda,
56 the children of Ya`alah, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel,
57 the children of Shefatyah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pokheret-Hatzevayim, the children of Ami.
58 All the temple servants, and the children of Shlomo's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.
59 These were those who went up from Tel-Melakh, Tel-Harsha, Keruv, Addan, [and] Immer; but they could not show their fathers' houses, and their seed, whether they were of Yisra'el:
60 the children of Delayah, the children of Toviyah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty-two.
61 Of the children of the Kohanim: the children of Havayah, the children of Hakkotz, the children of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gil`adite, and was called after their name.
62 These sought their register [among] those who were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they deemed polluted and put from the priesthood.
63 The governor said to them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, until there stood up a Kohen with Urim and with Tummim.

INTRODUCTION TO EZRA 2

This chapter contains a list of those that went up from Babylon to Jerusalem, of their leaders, their chief men, princes and priests, Ezr 2:1,2 of the people, described by their families, towns, and cities, and number of persons, Ezr 2:3-35, of the priests, Levites, and Nethinims, Ezr 2:36-58, and of those that could not make out their genealogy, people and priests, Ezr 2:59-63, and then the sum total of the whole congregation is given, Ezr 2:64, besides men and maidservants, singing men and women, and cattle of divers sorts, Ezr 2:65-67, and the chapter is closed with an account of the freewill offerings of the principal men towards the building of the temple, and of the settlement of the people in their respective cities, Ezr 2:68-70.
