5 I figliuoli d’Israele adunque, partitisi di Rameses, si accamparono in Succot.

6 E, partitisi di Succot, si accamparono in Etam, ch’è nell’estremità del deserto.

7 E, partitisi di Etam, si rivolsero verso la foce di Hirot, ch’è dirincontro a Baal-sefon, e si accamparono dinanzi a Migdol.

8 Poi, partitisi d’innanzi a Hirot, passarono per mezzo il mare, traendo verso il deserto; e, andati tre giornate di cammino per lo deserto di Etam, si accamparono in Mara.

9 E, partitisi di Mara, giunsero in Elim, ove erano dodici fonti d’acqua, e settanta palme; e si accamparono quivi.

10 E, partitisi di Elim, si accamparono presso al mar rosso.

11 E, partitisi dal mar rosso, si accamparono nel deserto di Sin.

12 E, partitisi dal deserto di Sin, si accamparono in Dofca.

13 E, partitisi di Dofca, si accamparono in Alus.

14 E, partitisi di Alus, si accamparono in Refidim, ove non era acqua da bere per lo popolo.

15 E, partitisi di Refidim, si accamparono nel deserto di Sinai.

INTRODUCTION TO NUMBERS 33

This chapter gives an account of the journeys of the people of Israel, from their first coming out of Egypt, to their arrival in the plains of Moab by Jordan, and the names of the various stations where they rested are given, Nu 33:1-49 and they are ordered, when they passed over Jordan, to drive out the Canaanites, destroy their idols, and divide the land among their families in their several tribes, Nu 33:50-54 or otherwise it is threatened the Canaanites should be troublesome and vexatious to them, even those that remained; and it might be expected God would do to the Israelites as he thought to do to those nations, Nu 33:55,56.
