And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and the chiefpriests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

saying, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chiefpriests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles;

From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chiefpriests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.

But on the morrow, desiring to know the real reason why the Jews accused him, he unbound him, and commanded the chiefpriests and all the council to meet, and he brought Paul down and set him before them.

And all who heard him were amazed, and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called on this name? And he has come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chiefpriests."
