Then Joab came to the king, and said, What hast thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou hast sent him away, and he is quite gone?

Então Joabe foi ao rei, e disse: Que fizeste? Eis que Abner veio ter contigo; por que, pois, o despediste, de maneira que se fosse assim livremente?

Da kam Joab zum König und sprach: Was hast du getan! Siehe, Abner ist zu dir gekommen; warum doch hast du ihn entlassen, daß er ungehindert weggegangen ist?

Toen ging Joab tot den koning in, en zeide: Wat hebt gij gedaan? Zie, Abner is tot u gekomen; waarom nu hebt gij hem laten gaan, dat hij zo vrij is weggegaan?
