This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Moab,1 even for four, I will not turn back [my wrath]. Because he burned, as if to lime,2 the bones of Edom's king,

I will send fire upon Moab that will consume the fortresses of Kerioth.a3 Moab will go down in great tumult amid war cries4 and the blast of the trumpet.5

I will destroy her ruler6 and kill all her officials with him,"7 says the LORD.8
