Amos 7:5

Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee
From destroying the land; suffer not this calamity to proceed any further; using the same argument as before: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he [is] small; (See Gill on Amos 7:2).

6 Jehovah repented concerning this: this also shall not be, saith the Lord Jehovah.
7 Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.
