14 For you, brethren, became ¹imitators of ²the churches of God in Christ Jesus that are ³in Judea, for ⁴you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen, ⁵even as they did from the Jews, 15 ⁶who both killed the Lord Jesus and ⁷the prophets, and ^adrove us out. ^bThey are not pleasing to God, ^cbut hostile to all men, 16 ⁸hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles ⁹so that they may be saved ; with the result that they always ¹⁰fill up the measure of their sins. But ¹¹wrath has come upon them ^dto the utmost.
