15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize , but to preach the gospel : not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect . 6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written , that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend , I will eat no flesh while the world standeth , lest I make my brother to offend . 12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. 32 But when we are judged , we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. 34 And if any man hunger , let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come . 25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store , as God hath prospered him , that there be no gatherings when I come .
