13 For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe. 3 so that no one would be disturbed by these afflictions ; for you yourselves know that we have been destined for this. 5 For this reason, when I could endure it no longer, I also sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the tempter might have tempted you, and our labor would be in vain. 7 for this reason, brethren, in all our distress and affliction we were comforted about you through your faith ; 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification ; that is, that you abstain from sexual immorality ; 6 and that no man transgress and defraud his brother in the matter because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you before and solemnly warned you. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words. 18 in everything give thanks ; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
