38 If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives , and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen , and toward the house which I have built for thy name: 10 And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people. 11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected . 16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. 14 And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the LORD. 6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of the LORD: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah. 4 And it came to pass after this, that Joash was minded to repair the house of the LORD. 19 Thou sayest , Lo, thou hast smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast : abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall , even thou, and Judah with thee? 16 But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction : for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense. 31 Then Hezekiah answered and said , Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings. 12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD. 25 But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up : therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem. 26 Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
