my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.1 "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law2 of your God, I also will ignore your children.

The more the priests increased, the more they sinned against me; they exchangeda theirb Glory3 for something disgraceful.4

They feed on the sins of my people and relish their wickedness.5

And it will be: Like people, like priests.6 I will punish both of them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.7

"They will eat but not have enough;8 they will engage in prostitution9 but not increase, because they have deserted10 the LORD to give themselves

to prostitution,11 to old wine12 and new, which take away the understanding13
