Job 20:23-29 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
23 When he has filled his belly,1 God will vent his burning anger2 against him and rain down his blows upon him.3 24 Though he flees4 from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow pierces him.5 25 He pulls it out of his back, the gleaming point out of his liver. Terrors6 will come over him;7 26 total darkness8 lies in wait for his treasures. A fire9 unfanned will consume him10 and devour what is left in his tent.11 27 The heavens will expose his guilt; the earth will rise up against him.12 28 A flood will carry off his house,13 rushing watersa on the day of God's wrath.14 29 Such is the fate God allots the wicked, the heritage appointed for them by God."15
