He is to lay his hand on the head1 of the burnt offering,2 and it will be accepted3 on his behalf to make atonement4 for him.

He is to slaughter5 the young bull6 before the LORD, and then Aaron's sons7 the priests shall bring the blood and sprinkle it against the altar on all sides8 at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

He is to skin9 the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.107
The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood11 on the fire.

Then Aaron's sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat,12 on the burning wood13 that is on the altar.

He is to wash the inner parts and the legs with water,14 and the priest is to burn all of it15 on the altar.16 It is a burnt offering,17 an offering made by fire,18 an aroma pleasing to the LORD.1910
" 'If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep20 or the goats,21 he is to offer a male without defect.

He is to slaughter it at the north side of the altar22 before the LORD, and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.2312
