Luke 17:11-19

Listen to Luke 17:11-19
11 And it came about that when they were on the way to Jerusalem he went through Samaria and Galilee.
12 And when he went into a certain small town he came across ten men who were lepers, and they, keeping themselves at a distance,
13 Said, in loud voices, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them he said, Go, and let the priests see you. And, while they were going, they were made clean.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was clean, turning back, gave praise to God in a loud voice;
16 And, falling down on his face at the feet of Jesus, he gave the credit to him; and he was a man of Samaria.
17 And Jesus said, Were there not ten men who were made clean? where are the nine?
18 Have not any of them come back to give glory to God, but only this one from a strange land?
19 And he said to him, Get up, and go on your way; your faith has made you well.

Thanksgiving Is Two Directional
Thanksgiving Is Two Directional
Pastor Jack Morris

On today’s Healing Word broadcast, Pastor Jack Morris shares a message titled Thanksgiving Is Two Directional. Rooted in Luke 17:11–19, this passage tells the story of ten lepers who cried out to Jesus for healing—and how only one of them returned to give thanks.Pastor Jack reminds us that true thanksgiving isn’t complete until it moves in two directions: upward, in gratitude to God, and outward, in the way we live and serve others. Gratitude is more than words—it’s a lifestyle that reflects our awareness of God’s mercy and our willingness to act in response to it.

Where Are the Nine
Where Are the Nine
Pastor Jack Morris

Giving praise and thanks to God is the focus of this week’s messages on the Healing Word. Today Pastor Jack Morris is going to look at ten lepers in the New Testament that were healed by Jesus that will illustrate the importance of giving thanks. Luke 17:17-19 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”

With A Thankful Heart

Luke 17:11-19 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!” When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
