"Do we not all have 1onefather? 2Has not oneGodcreated us? Why do we deal3treacherouslyeach against his brother so as to profane the 4covenant of our fathers?
11"Judah has dealt5treacherously, and an abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has 6profaned the sanctuary of the LORDawhich He loves and has married the daughter of a foreigngod.
"As for the manwhodoes this, may the 7LORDcutoff from the tents of Jacob everyone who awakes and answers, or who 8presentsban offering to the LORD of hosts.
13"This is canotherthing you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and with groaning, because He 9nolongerregards the doffering or accepts it with favor from your hand.
"Yet you say, 'For whatreason ?' Because the LORD has been a witnessbetween you and the 10wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt11treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
"eBut not one has 12done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And fwhat did that one do while he was seeking a 13godlygoffspring? Takeheed then to your spirit, and let no one deal14treacherously against the wife of your youth.
"For hI hatei15divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and jhim who covers his garment with k16wrong," says the LORD of hosts. "So takeheed to your spirit, that you do not dealtreacherously."
