He makes springs1 pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains.

They give water2 to all the beasts of the field; the wild donkeys3 quench their thirst.

The birds of the air4 nest by the waters; they sing among the branches.5

He waters the mountains6 from his upper chambers;7 the earth is satisfied by the fruit of his work.8

He makes grass grow9 for the cattle, and plants for man to cultivate-- bringing forth food10 from the earth:

wine11 that gladdens the heart of man, oil12 to make his face shine, and bread that sustains13 his heart.
