We will not hide them from their children;1 we will tell the next generation2 the praiseworthy deeds3 of the LORD, his power, and the wonders4 he has done.
He decreed statutes5 for Jacob6 and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children,
so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born,7 and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget8 his deeds but would keep his commands.98
They would not be like their forefathers10-- a stubborn11 and rebellious12 generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God, whose spirits were not faithful to him.
