because those who are led by the Spirit of God1 are sons of God.215
For you did not receive a spirit3 that makes you a slave again to fear,4 but you received the Spirit of sonship.a And by him we cry, ""Abba,"b Father."516
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit6 that we are God's children.717
Now if we are children, then we are heirs8--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings9 in order that we may also share in his glory.10

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.1119
The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God12 to be revealed.

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it,13 in hope

thatc the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay14 and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.1522
We know that the whole creation has been groaning16 as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
