40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort , saying , Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. 22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed . 31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 20 When they desired him to tarry longer time with them, he consented not; 32 Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused ; and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together . 9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching , he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead. 10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 13 And they were more than forty which had made this conspiracy. 21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath , that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee. 4 Notwithstanding, that I be not further tedious unto thee, I pray thee that thou wouldest hear us of thy clemency a few words. 11 Because that thou mayest understand , that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship . 17 Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings. 14 And when they had been there many days, Festus declared Paul's cause unto the king, saying , There is a certain man left in bonds by Felix: 12 And because the haven was not commodious to winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter ; which is an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and north west. 20 And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared , and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away . 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God , persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
