4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance . 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know : 17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh , which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt, 42 Then God turned , and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? 44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed , speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen . 48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized , which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? 29 Then the disciples, every man according to his ability , determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea: 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness , giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written , 3 I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.
