Then Ananias answered , Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed , that call not thou common .
And after they had held their peace , James answered , saying , Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
And the evil spirit answered and said , Jesus I know , and Paul I know ; but who are ye?

And I answered , Who art thou , Lord? And he said unto me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom thou persecutest .
And the chief captain answered , With a great sum obtained I this freedom. And Paul said , But I was free born .
Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak , answered , Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:

But Festus answered , that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.
But Festus, willing to do the Jews a pleasure, answered Paul, and said , Wilt thou go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged of these things before me?
Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered , Hast thou appealed unto Caesar? unto Caesar shalt thou go .
To whom I answered , It is not the manner of the Romans to deliver any man to die, before that he which is accused have the accusers face to face , and have licence to answer for himself concerning the crime laid against him.
