And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone : for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought :
And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.
Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did .
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted , the Holy Ghost said , Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
Behold , ye despisers, and wonder , and perish : for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe , though a man declare it unto you.
And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled .
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
