Young's Literal Translation
Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report , full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
And they said , Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
To him give all the prophets witness , that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony , and said , I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness , giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
As also the high priest doth bear me witness , and all the estate of the elders: from whom also I received letters unto the brethren, and went to Damascus, to bring them which were there bound unto Jerusalem, for to be punished .
And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said , Be of good cheer , Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify , that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come :
