22 Then it seemed good to ¹the apostles and the elders, with the whole church, to choose men from among them to send to ²Antioch with Paul and Barnabas -Judas called Barsabbas, and ³Silas, leading men among ⁴the brethren, 23 and they ^asent this letter by them, "⁵The apostles and the brethren who are elders, to ⁶the brethren in ⁷Antioch and ⁸Syria and ⁹Cilicia who are from the Gentiles, ¹⁰greetings. 24 "Since we have heard that ¹¹some ^bof our number to whom we gave no instruction have ¹²disturbed you with their words, unsettling your souls, 25 ¹³ it seemed good to us, having ^c become of one mind, to select men to send to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 men who have ^d¹⁴risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 "Therefore we have sent ¹⁵Judas and ¹⁶Silas, who themselves will also report the same things by word of mouth. 28 "For ¹⁷it seemed good to ¹⁸the Holy Spirit and to ¹⁹us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials : 29 that you abstain from ²⁰things sacrificed to idols and from ²¹blood and from ²²things strangled and from ²³fornication ; ^eif you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell."
