2 "¹What do you mean by using this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, '²The fathers eat the sour grapes, But the children's teeth ^aare set on edge '? 3 "As I live," declares the Lord ^bGOD, "you are surely not going to use this proverb in Israel anymore. 4 "Behold, ³all ^csouls are Mine; the ^dsoul of the father as well as the ^esoul of the son is Mine. The ^fsoul who ⁴sins will die.
