The Child Immanuel

A Remnant Will Return

20 Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and those of the house of Jacob who have escaped, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

The Restored Remnant

11 Then it will happen on that day that the Lord Will again recover the second time with His hand The remnant of His people, who will remain, From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, And from the islands of the sea. 9 For the waters of Dimon are full of blood ; Surely I will bring added woes upon Dimon, A lion upon the fugitives of Moab and upon the remnant of the land. 12 He has said, "You shall exult no more , O crushed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Cyprus ; even there you will find no rest." 20 The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard And it totters like a shack, For its transgression is heavy upon it, And it will fall, never to rise again. 15 You have increased the nation, O LORD, You have increased the nation, You are glorified ; You have extended all the borders of the land.

Jerusalem Is Warned

1 Woe, O Ariel, Ariel the city where David once camped ! Lament for Babylon

1 "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon ; Sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans ! For you shall no longer be called tender and delicate. 5 "Sit silently, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans, For you will no longer be called The queen of kingdoms. 22 Thus says your Lord, the LORD, even your God Who contends for His people, "Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of reeling, The chalice of My anger ; You will never drink it again.

Cheer for Prostrate Zion

1 Awake, awake, Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion ; Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city ; For the uncircumcised and the unclean Will no longer come into you.
