19 Men will flee to caves¹ in the rocks and to holes in the ground² from dread³ of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty,⁴ when he rises to shake the earth.⁵ 20 In that day⁶ men will throw away to the rodents and bats⁷ their idols of silver and idols of gold,⁸ which they made to worship.⁹ 21 They will flee to caverns in the rocks¹⁰ and to the overhanging crags from dread of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty,¹¹ when he rises¹² to shake the earth.¹³
