15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come , and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah. 2 Stand in the gate of the LORD'S house, and proclaim there this word, and say , Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD. 2 Judah mourneth , and the gates thereof languish ; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up . 7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways. 19 Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in , and by the which they go out , and in all the gates of Jerusalem; 21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; 24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein; 25 Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever. 27 But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched . 2 And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee, 2 Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. 4 For if ye do this thing indeed , then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. 19 He shall be buried with the burial of an ass, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Jerusalem. 10 When the princes of Judah heard these things, then they came up from the king's house unto the house of the LORD, and sat down in the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house. 38 Behold, the days come , saith the LORD, that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall not be plucked up , nor thrown down any more for ever. 10 Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe , in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house, in the ears of all the people. 13 And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying , Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans. 7 Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, one of the eunuchs which was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon; the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin; 3 And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in , and sat in the middle gate, even Nergalsharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, with all the residue of the princes of the king of Babylon. 4 And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled , and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain. 58 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken , and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary . 7 Then the city was broken up , and all the men of war fled , and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.
