But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
And supper being ended , the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he , Ye are not all clean.
When Jesus had thus said , he was troubled in spirit, and testified , and said , Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples.
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee.
Pilate answered , Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done ?
Jesus answered , My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight , that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Jesus answered , Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified . And they took Jesus, and led him away .
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said , It is finished : and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Then Peter, turning about , seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following ; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said , Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
