Young's Literal Translation
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
And his mother answered and said , Not so; but he shall be called John.
And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold , this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against ;
And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned , the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.
And when they saw him, they were amazed : and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold , thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing .
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold , there was a dead man carried out , the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.
And it was told him by certain which said , Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.
And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in , save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.
The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
