For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying , Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink ?
No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith , The old is better.
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say , He hath a devil.
The Son of man is come eating and drinking ; and ye say , Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
And in the same house remain , eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease , eat , drink , and be merry .
And seek not ye what ye shall eat , or what ye shall drink , neither be ye of doubtful mind .
But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming ; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink , and to be drunken ;
Then shall ye begin to say , We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup , and gird thyself , and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken ; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink ?
They did eat , they drank , they married wives , they were given in marriage , until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came , and destroyed them all.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat , they drank , they bought , they sold , they planted , they builded ;
For I say unto you , I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come .
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
