While he yet spake , there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said , Thy daughter is dead : why troublest thou the Master any further?
And when he was come in , he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado , and weep ? the damsel is not dead , but sleepeth .
And the spirit cried , and rent him sore, and came out of him : and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said , He is dead .
Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die , and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.
And the second took her, and died , neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.
And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.
And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead : and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead .
