Young's Literal Translation
And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold , there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying , Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled , and all Jerusalem with him.
When they had heard the king, they departed ; and, lo , the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was .
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.
But what went ye out for to see ? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold , they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
And the king was sorry : nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat , he commanded it to be given her.
He saith , Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying , What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?
Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold , thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth : and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
And when the king came in to see the guests , he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away , and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come , ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying , Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest .
And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying , Hail , King of the Jews!
And set up over his head his accusation written , THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
He saved others; himself he cannot save . If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.
