Young's Literal Translation
If they say , Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
She crieth in the chief place of concourse , in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go , and come again , and to morrow I will give ; when thou hast it by thee.
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live .
And say , How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him,
Who can say , I have made my heart clean , I am pure from my sin?
It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer : but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth .
Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.
The slothful man saith , There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink , saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
If thou sayest , Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse , nations shall abhor him:
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen .
The slothful man saith , There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith , Am not I in sport ?
Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith , It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer .
Lest I be full , and deny thee, and say , Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor , and steal , and take the name of my God in vain.
The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give , give . There are three things that are never satisfied , yea, four things say not, It is enough:
The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.
Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth , and wipeth her mouth, and saith , I have done no wickedness.
