Young's Literal Translation
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;
A wise man will hear , and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
They are all plain to him that understandeth , and right to them that find knowledge.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found : but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth .
The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding : but that which is in the midst of fools is made known .
The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
The wise in heart shall be called prudent : and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.
Wisdom is before him that hath understanding ; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace , is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding .
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Smite a scorner , and the simple will beware : and reprove one that hath understanding , and he will understand knowledge.
Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
When thou sittest to eat with a ruler , consider diligently what is before thee:
If thou sayest , Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged .
Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out .
The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it.
A servant will not be corrected by words: for though he understand he will not answer.
