Do not be wise in your own eyes;1 fear the LORD2 and shun evil.3

This will bring health to your body4 and nourishment to your bones.5

Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits6 of all your crops;
10
then your barns will be filled7 to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.8
11
My son,9 do not despise the LORD's discipline10 and do not resent his rebuke,
12
because the LORD disciplines those he loves,11 as a fathera the son he delights in.12
