Prayer for Protection against Oppressors.

1 Hear a just cause, O LORD, give heed to my cry ; Give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips. 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime ; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. 4 These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival.

God the King of the Earth.

1 O clap your hands, all peoples ; Shout to God with the voice of joy.

Confidence in God's Protection.

1 Hear my cry, O God ; Give heed to my prayer. 2 Let my prayer come before You; Incline Your ear to my cry ! 43 And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with a joyful shout. 44 Nevertheless He looked upon their distress When He heard their cry ; 22 Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, And tell of His works with joyful singing. 15 The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous ; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

Tav.

169 Let my cry come before You, O LORD ; Give me understanding according to Your word. 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter And our tongue with joyful shouting ; Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." 5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. 6 He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him. 6 "Give heed to my cry, For I am brought very low ; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are too strong for me.
