Young's Literal Translation
If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready .
Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.
The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken .
For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear ?
They shall fall by the sword : they shall be a portion for foxes.
Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.
Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation .
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
