Psalms 135:2

2 All you who stand in the LORD's house— who stand in the courtyards of our God's temple—

Psalms 135:2 Meaning and Commentary

Psalms 135:2

Ye that stand in the house of the Lord
That have a place and standing there, and go not out, being sons as well as servants; (See Gill on Psalms 134:1) and (See Gill on Psalms 84:4);

in the courts of the house of our God;
alluding to the courts in the temple, the court of the priests, where they stood and ministered, slaying and offering their sacrifices; and the great court, where all the Israelites stood and worshipped, ( 2 Chronicles 4:9 ) . So this may describe the worshippers of God in common, who should praise him: and happy are they that have a place here; see ( Psalms 84:1 Psalms 84:2 Psalms 84:10 ) .

Psalms 135:2 In-Context

1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD's name! All you who serve the LORD, praise God!
2 All you who stand in the LORD's house— who stand in the courtyards of our God's temple—
3 praise the LORD, because the LORD is good! Sing praises to God's name because it is beautiful!
4 Because the LORD chose Jacob as his own, God chose Israel as his treasured possession.
5 Yes, I know for certain that the LORD is great— I know our Lord is greater than all other gods.
