Joshua 18:22

And Betharabah
Of the first of these, (See Gill on Joshua 15:6);

and Zemaraim;
one of the sons of Canaan was named Zemira, ( Genesis 10:18 ) ; by whom this city Zemaraim might be built, or however have its name given it, in memory of him; there was a mountain of this name in the tribe of Ephraim, near to which this city might be, ( 2 Chronicles 13:4 ) .

Joshua 18:22 In-Context

20 The Yarden was to be its border on the east side. This was the inheritance of the descendants of Binyamin, defined by its surrounding borders, according to their families.
21 The cities of the tribe of the descendants of Binyamin according to their families were: Yericho, Beit-Hoglah, 'Emek-K'tzitz,
22 Beit-'Aravah, Tz'marayim, Beit-El,
23 'Avim, Parah, 'Ofrah,
24 K'far-Ha'amonah, 'Ofni and Geva - twelve cities, together with their villages.
