Luke 8:32
A herd of many swine (agelh coirwn ikanwn). Word herd (agelh) old as Homer, but in N.T. only here and parallels ( Mark 5:11 ; Matthew 8:30 ). Luke shows his fondness for adjective ikano here again (see verse Matthew 27 ) where Mark has megalh and Matthew pollwn.
