20 Ahaz rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Hezekiah became king in his place.[a]

2 Kings 16:20

And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and was buried with his
fathers in the city of David
But not in the sepulchres of the kings of Israel, as David and Solomon, he being such a wicked prince, ( 2 Chronicles 28:27 )

and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead;
