Jeremiah 30:24

24 The Lord's burning anger will not turn back until He has completely fulfilled the purposes of His heart. In time to come you will understand it.[a]

Jeremiah 30:24 Meaning and Commentary

Jeremiah 30:24

The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return
This explains what is meant by the continuing whirlwind in ( Jeremiah 30:23 ) ; until he hath done [it];
his whole will and pleasure; brought Babylon to ruin, and destroyed all the antichristian powers: and until he hath performed the intents of his heart;
in a way of grace and mercy to his people, and in a way of wrath and vengeance on their enemies: in the latter day ye shall consider it;
this prophecy, and understand it; and see it wholly and fully accomplished.

Jeremiah 30:24 In-Context

22 You will be My people, and I will be your God.
23 Look, a storm from the Lord! Wrath has gone forth. A churning storm, it will whirl about the head of the wicked.
24 The Lord's burning anger will not turn back until He has completely fulfilled the purposes of His heart. In time to come you will understand it.
