1 Kings 3:8

And thy servant [is] in the midst of thy people which thou hast
chosen
To be his special and peculiar people above all people on the earth; this is not to be understood locally, though Jerusalem, where his palace was, was in the middle of the land; but of the exercise of his office, he being placed over the people, and among them, and having the care and inspection of them:

a great people, that cannot be numbered and counted for multitude;
being for number as the stars in the sky, and as the sand upon the seashore, as had been promised.

6 Suǒluómén shuō , nǐ púrén wǒ fùqin Dàwèi yòng chéngshí , gōngyì , zhèngzhí de xīn xíng zaì nǐ miànqián , nǐ jiù xiàng tā dà shī ēndiǎn , yòu wèi tā cún liú dà ēn , cì tā yī gè érzi zuò zaì tāde wèi shàng , zhēng rújīn rì yíyàng .
7 Yēhéhuá wǒde shén a , rújīn nǐ shǐ púrén jiēxù wǒ fùqin Dàwèi zuò wáng . dàn wǒ shì yòu tóng , bù zhīdào yīngdāng zĕnyàng chūrù .
8 Púrén zhù zaì nǐ suǒ jiǎnxuǎn de mín zhōng , zhè mín duō dé bùkĕ shēng shǔ .
9 Suǒyǐ qiú nǐ cì wǒ zhìhuì , kĕyǐ pànduàn nǐde mín , néng biànbié shìfēi . bù rán , shuí néng pànduàn zhè zhòngduō de mín ne .
10 Suǒluómén yīnwei qiú zhè shì , jiù méng zhǔ xǐyuè .
